Wendy Jane Bantam is a teacher and lecturer on creative and critical thinking with training in performance art and the visual arts. She has had residencies in Indonesia, England, and the United States. Her visual creations have been exhibited nationally and submitted to The New Yorker magazine.
Bantam uses music, writing, and painting techniques to help students develop visual storytelling. She helps students develop their own personal stories into visual forms. Using “The Visual Narrative,” students us sound, light, visuals, and tactile ways to tell their stories. By using an alternative method of teaching, she weaves contemporary art forms and brings new perspectives on art. Her projects revitalize connection between youth and their communities.
