Beth O’Hanlon is a practicing visual artist working in both two and three-dimensional art forms and has been an arts educator for many years. Beth has taught studio and art history at the University of Cincinnati and is presently mentoring gifted students in the public school system in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Her teaching stresses the connections that can be made through art and embraces an integrated approach. Of the many subjects expressed through art, O’Hanlon especially enjoys the use of literature and descriptive phrases to spark the imagination and creativity of her students. O’Hanlon pushes her students to be great observers and with oil paint, metal construction or other media, guides them to communicate their unique view through their unique art.
