The Arts Across Nebraska program connects Lied artists to Nebraska communities throughout the state. The program provides up to three tours every year, that are offered to presenting partners and communities in the state at a very affordable rate. The Lied Center is responsible for contracting with the artist/s, routing, and providing technical assistance on tour. The artist/s usually provide a public performance, and/or student matinee or workshop in each community.

Free Enhancement Workshops for Local Students
Thanks to a generous grant from Nebraska Arts Council, the Lied Center is able to offer free in-school workshops to local students attending AAN student matinees in 2011-12, to enhance the impact of the matinee performance. The sessions will be delivered by experienced teaching artists. 31 workshops took place across the state as part of the Arts Across Nebraska Education program in 2010-11.
The 2011-12 Arts Across Nebraska program is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, Friends of Lied and Sid Dillon. Arts Across Nebraska engagements in McCook and Nebraska City are made possible through the support of the Kimmel Charitable Foundation. Enhancement workshops and student matinees are made possible through the support of The Nebraska Arts Council, a state agency, through its matching grants program funded by the Nebraska Legislature, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment. Visit www.nebraskaartscouncil.org for information on how the Nebraska Arts Council can assist your organization, or how you can support the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
